We recently headed deep into Johnson Valley, California, with Jessy Nelson for the 2022 King Of The Hammers. We decided to step away from the race madness and get lost up a few rock climbs and dunes on our own. Offroad, campfires, and cold beer are always a great way to burn some time in the California Desert with some good company.

King of the Hammers dates back to 2008 in the Means Dry Lake Bed and has evolved into a series of off-road events across a killer week and Hammertown. Jessy isn’t one to shy away from a race, but oftentimes a weekend as prime as this calls for your own shenanigans. We’ll take any excuse we can to camp it in the desert and rip around.

This year’s King Of The Hammers was full to the brim with epic off-roading and stories to be shared around the fire. We’ll be back at it again with Jessy for 2023 in Johnson Valley.
