When it comes to making the most of the longest day of the year, we tend to get overwhelmed. Do we hop on a bike and send ourselves down our favorite mountain? Do we take our motorcycle deep into the desert? Or, do we surf, surf again, and then surf one more time for good measure? When it comes to opportunities, the summer solstice offers an endless amount.
The time is there, it’s just a matter of making up your mind. Just make sure to toss a few cold ones into the cooler before you head out to wherever you’re going.
Hoping to avoid getting overwhelmed with the few extra moments of daylight on our hands and plenty of ideas in our heads, we teamed up with 805 Authentico Austin Neumann to help narrow our focus.
For those who don’t know, Austin is a professional surfer, multi-hyphenate athlete, and small town-kid from Pismo Beach, California. A product of the Central Coast, Austin loves to be outdoors and is always looking for a new adventure. He surfs, he bikes, he camps, and he reminds us of just how much there is to go out and do in the slice of California we call home. There wasn’t anyone much better to follow around for a day.
We won’t spoil any surprises, but the long, sunny day consisted of morning surfs, motorcycles, skating, and cold ones by the grill. It was about as ideal as it gets, and you can watch along in the video below.
