There are few things more exciting than a fresh bit of fiberglass.

The excitement, that wax-free sheen, and the two-week flat spell that invariably follows your purchase. Yes, it’s hard to beat a new surfboard. And seeing as that’s the case, we decided to partner up with our good friend, and local Central Coast shaper, Joe Yee to bring you seven new 805 surfboards.

We’re offering a 5’6″, 5’7″, 5’8″, 5’9″ signature fish model and 5’8″, 5’9″, 5’10” TurboWolf model. Each one features a traditional tail design, quality glasswork, and brand-appropriate resin tint. These boards are only available in-store at both our Venice Brewery Store and Paso Robles Emporium shops, and they won’t last long.

For those not in the know, Joe may be soft-spoken, but he uses his small surfboard brand to speak loud and clear. Located out of the way in the offbeat town of Goleta, Joe specializes in one hundred percent hand-built shapes. His state-of-the-art crafts are heavily influenced by the “Golden Era” styles of the 70s and 80s, but have a modern twist. See all that volume towards the nose? Don’t be fooled, it may be a retro look, but these fishes are fast. They’ll certainly be handy not only for cruising around the nearest point break but also for gathering tremendous amounts of speed at your local beachie. They’re also good for receiving future compliments from friends on the sand, served cold with a slight garnish of envy.

Again, stop by either our Paso Robles or Venice locations to put one under your arm today. Feel free to rub your hand all over those sans-pressure-dent decks and then balance it on your toe so the nose is eye-level and you don’t dent the tail as well. After you’re done, you can get ready to amplify all your future sessions and hear lots of people tell you, “That looks pretty fun,” by taking it to the register.

Already daydreaming about all those ones you’ll be sneaking into behind the peak? Well, come by and grab one before they’re gone now.
