Honoring family, tradition, and the stories that live on this Día de los Muertos.
Some things are bigger than what you see. A car is more than four wheels and an engine. It’s the late nights in the garage, the hands that built it, and the memories made along the way.
For Angel Martinez of Sabor Kustoms, one particular car holds a lifetime of memories. Built alongside his father, it’s more than a custom ride. It’s a piece of family history, a shared passion, and a connection that time can’t take away.
Crack a cold one, and watch To Those We Remember here.
More Than a Car. A Living Memory.
“My dad built this car about eleven years ago. My dad and I both designed it and put our hands on it to create it.”
For Angel, every detail tells a story. From the first sketches to the countless hours spent bringing their vision to life, the car represents something that can’t be bought or replaced.
He remembers his father waking up at two or three in the morning, inspired by their latest project, sketching blueprints directly onto the concrete with soapstone.
That kind of passion doesn’t fade. It gets passed down.
“I feel very spiritually connected to this car. It’s a living memory between me and my dad.”
Art in Motion. A Legacy That Lives On.
In lowrider culture, cars have always been about more than getting from one place to another. They’re an expression of identity, craftsmanship, family, and community. Every detail is intentional. Every build has a story.
For Angel, that story is deeply personal.
“If there was one car I’d never sell, it’s got to be the one we’re riding in right now. It’s just art in motion.”
It’s a reminder that the things we create together can carry meaning long after the work is done. What started as a father-and-son project has become something timeless, keeping their shared passion alive with every mile.
To Those We Remember.
Día de los Muertos is a celebration of life, remembrance, and the people who helped shape who we are. It’s about honoring those who came before us and keeping their stories alive through the traditions, passions, and memories we carry forward.
At 805 Beer, we believe the best stories are the ones worth passing down. The ones built by hand, rooted in family, and carried from one generation to the next.
This Día de los Muertos, we’re proud to share Angel’s story and celebrate the legacy of his father. A reminder that while people may leave us, the things they teach us and the memories we make together never truly disappear.
Here’s to those who came before us, the traditions we carry forward, and the memories that never fade.
